Animal sponsorship

Animal sponsorship is a great way to be involved with helping animals in need. Many animal welfare charities have sponsorship schemes and these help them to raise much needed funding.

Animal sponsorships make great gifts - the recipient will normally be sent a certificate and regular updates. In most cases, you will be allowed to visit your sponsored animal or kennel and to see the work of the charity you are supporting.

Dogs can be sponsored through schemes set up by a variety of charities from the smaller little known charities such as oldies.org, Fenbank greyhounds, Gables Farm and Leicester animal aid, to larger dog charities such as the Dogs Trust.

If you would like to sponsor a cat Cats Protection League, Caring for Cats and Celia Hammonds’ cat charity all have schemes.

You can also sponsor rabbits from the giant rabbit rescue or bobtails rescue.

It’s not just domestic animals, there are many other animals including ponies, horses, and rescued farm animals, that would benefit from sponsorship.

There are many wildlife sponsorship schemes. Monkeys and other wildlife can be sponsored through wildlife organisations such as Born Free and adopt wildlife.org. Sponsor a wild animal for yourself or a friend for as little as £2.50 per month and help the World Wildlife Fund safeguard the future of endangered species and tackle some of the biggest conservation challenges facing our world today. Their six animals are all real wild animals - located in a project area funded or run by WWF, not a sanctuary or zoo.
